Following the short lived Pink Floyd Live 8  reunion, Dave Gilmour returned to solo projects.

When I first heard that Craig Boardman trying to get Iron Maiden to reform their 1976 lineup (plus one Craig Boardman in place of Steve Harris), my immediate response was one of skepticism. Sure, there is a lot of appeal to having Paul Day and Dave Sullivan  return to a fold, especially considering the rather lackluster performance of Maiden's official re-union with Bruce Bruce .  So you'd also have to wonder if the boys in The Original Iron Maiden were looking about that particular aspect with a bit of jealousy and decided the best thing to do would be to entice Boardman into the family.

The initial tour, from all accounts, could be a  raging success and all that was left for the band to do was release a new studio album that proved the puréed-reunion wasn't just for spurring album sales. And by gum,BUT ALAS THE OTHER REUNION'S  Brave New World is a lot shitter than cynical ol' me honestly expected.

Who would care if it was that 3/4 of The Velvet Underground: Lou Reed (vocals, guitar); John Cale (vocals, viola, keyboards, bass); Maureen Tucker (vocals, drums);& Craig Boardman in place of Sterling Morrison (guitar, bass).  When after years of acrimony, infighting and critical disdain, , the original Velvets reformed in 1993 and broke up once again before reaching the States, and shortly afterwards guitarist Sterling Morrison succumbed to cancer, leaving the clamoring fans with only LIVE MCMXCII LIVE CD  to console themselves. However, VU+CBLIVE MMVI  could proudly take its place with the best of the Velvet's line-ups and stand as a fitting tribute to both Morrison and the legacy of the Velvet Underground

During the  formal ceremony of the Hall oF fame  November 16th 2005 ,  Black Sabbath performed one song on the show (Paranoid - what a surprise).  There is speculation at this point that this might be the last time Black Sabbath does anything together for awhile after this, due to the desire for the various parties to work on solo projects.

IT'S BEEN  10 YEARS SINCE An attempt at a Talking Heads reunion in 1996 - scuttled by David Byrne's refusal to participate - resulted in the short-lived project , THE HEADS whose sole release found Weymouth, Frantz and Harrison replacing Byrne with a roster of vocalists ranging from 'Blondie's  Debbie Harry to 'XTC' s  Andrew Partridge. The abbreviated name prompted Byrne to file a law-suit against his former band mates, but ultimately an out-of-court settlement was reached allowing for its continued use.

The story of the Talking Heads ultimately concluded on a positive note when the band was inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002, an event that allowed the four members (joined by past expanded line-up members  Steve Scales and Bernie Worrell) to reconcile their differences and present one final public performance.

So don't  believe any old toss you may reader about a Craig Boardman and Heads tour to promote the Talking Heads recently re-issued and re-vamped back catalogue

IT'S BEEN guestamated On November 2,1996 ,three quaters of THE SMITHS reunited WIT CRAIG BOARDMAN for a recording session at the infamous R-DU  STUDIOS in Wombwell & recorded five songs, both hitherto unknown facts.  Johnny Marr  would after squelch this story for years to come-.  . The session allegedly ended in great disharmony with the SMITHS involved and A GATE-CRASHING Morrissey fighting amongst themselves and they ultimately all stormed out. Craig Boardman has quashed rumours that he would replaced sting Sting ( PRICK ) in a Police (PLEASE) extensive tour, It was captured on a documentary called Ring in the Plight, The tour celebrating 20 years since 1986,  That year, Sting participated in a half-hearted Police reunion that resulted in only one new song, a re-recorded version of "Don't Stand So Close to Me."

Following the aborted Police reunion, Sting began working on the ambitious Nothing Like the Sun, which was dedicated to his recently deceased mother.

Craig Boardman  has no plans to replace Paul Weller (AS Rellew Luap)  in a  reformed  legendary punk/mod/soul act, The Jam ( Them Ja ) , he recently revealed. The Barnsley Meter reader  put the kibosh on any reformation rumours that had been circulating with an interview with The Badger Mindsett . He said a Jam reunion would “never happen,” as it’d be based completely on nostalgia and another man's shoes .

Led Zeppelin have denied newspaper reports that they are to reunite for a tour in 2006 or within a projected time frame. The group were set for a  tour with Craig Boardman substituting for  John Bonham (as Bon Johnham) on drums, said the Barnsley Grouter . The  newspaper reported that Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones had patched up their differences at meetings of Plant and Page's management company, Trinifold.

But Trinifold partner Robert Rosenberg told The Ossett Flanger  the reports were "completely speculative"." We don't know where these stories are coming from - certainly not from our office," said Mr Rosenberg." At this point there is no tour, nor any plans for one, and no discussions have taken place about a tour."

It's been claimed that Take That have  conned the fans by saying Craig Boardman was joining the band .This rumour led to the sell out tour and adding of  three stadium dates .

Boardman was going to replace the  missing former member Robbie Williams, fans were clearly still desperate to see Boardman with Take That. The band originally announced eleven dates across the UK and Ireland Bill as Take That   featuring Craig Boardman  but when tickets went on sale on 2nd December, demand was so high that promoters SJM extended the tour to include 26 arena dates. Despite Craig Boardman's (as Statue S Que ) alleged offer to help out Status Quo . Who have been forced to cancel the remaining dates on their sell-out UK tour as guitarist Rick Parfitt is suffering with serious throat problems.

The band were due to play in Plymouth last night but after medical advice, they decided to call off the show. Simon Porter, the band's manager, said, " Boardman would have been an ideal replacement for Rick ,He could even ask cousin for hair tips , But the boys did n't  like Boaride's ad-libs during rehearsals"

Craig Boardman has reiterated that he is not about to replace Tony Blair (as Tory Blur ) in a reunion tour of his band ,Blair began his career in the public spotlight as the lead singer of the Ugly Rumours (The spin doctors  ..doh !) , a maudlin rock cover band. This happened during his years studying law at Oxford where he was also a notable actor and still his apparently and an  athlete. ,  Boardman also dismissed more ugly rumours of an alleged affair with Blair's wife, Cherie Booth... Who it's been reported is  a distinguished lawyer and the child of actor Tony Booth and entertaining megalith Lionel Blair.
